Saturday, November 1 – Theatre.  Join us at Melon Patch Theatre for the play at 2 pm.  Dinner will be in Leesburg after the play.

 

Monday, November 3 – Happy Hour.  This fun get-together is held on the first Monday of the month from 4-6 PM at Evans Prairie CC. No RSVP Necessary. For more information contact Monika Sacks.

Monday, November 10 - Travel Discussion.  Ellen Seckar will be discussing her trip to Antarctica. If you like cold weather and penguins, this is probably for you.  We begin at 3:30 PM at the Allamanda Recreation Center.

Tuesday, November 11 - Movie and Meal.  We meet for a movie at the Epic Theatre at Lake Sumter Landing on the second Tuesday of the month in the early afternoon. This month we will see "Lost and Found in Cleveland." Afterwards we will go to Panera for a meal, socializing and discussion.  Please let us know on Facebook or email Monika Renard if you plan to come. 

Tuesday, November 11 - Trivia.  New activity alert: Trivia Tuesdays from noon until 2 PM. The first attempt to field a team will be November 11th at Sawgrass Grove in Wildwood at noon. If that date doesn’t work for you, try to find space in your calendars on December 2, 9, and/or 16. Once our new Trivia Coordinator, Patti Purpura, is able to gauge interest, she’ll set a calendar for 2026.

Thursday, November 13 - Book Club.  The book club meets on the second Thursday of the month at Fenney Recreation Center at 1 pm.  This month's book is Percival Everett's James: A Novel. There is an optional post-meeting at
Fenney Grill for snacks, meals, drinks and/or more discussion.

Monday, November 17 - Lunch. The ladies "do lunch" on the third Monday of each month at various locations.

Saturday, November 22 - Outing. Thanksgiving Floral Arrangement at Barn at Bellemoor at 12 pm.

​Sunday, November 23 - Arts and Crafts - We get crafty on the fourth Sunday of each month at Lake Okahumpka Recreation Center. 

​

Tuesday, November 25th – Theater 2. Christie is coordinating a performance of "The Last Romance." The matinee performance, the one we are attending as a group, begins at 2 PM; you are responsible for securing your own ticket. The performance is open seating, so plan to meet near the entrance to the Savannah Center at 1:30 PM so we can enter and sit together.

Tuesday, December 9 - Movie and Meal - We meet for a matinee movie at the Epic Theatre at Lake Sumter Landing. We will post the time and movie when the Epic announces their offerings. We each get our own tickets, and you can buy them online at Epic's website.  If you become a "member" the tickets are less than $7 on Tuesdays!  Afterwards we will go to Panera Bread for a meal, socializing and discussion.  Please let us know on Facebook or email Monika Renard if you plan to attend.

ON-GOING ACTIVITIES

​Bridge.  The Bridge group meets twice a month on the first and third Tuesdays from 2-4 pm in members' homes.  If you would like to play, please contact our Bridge Coordinator Georgina Burt.

​

Executive Golf.  WDC’s weekly golf groups play on executive courses between C.R. 42 and The Village of Fenney. Both groups are relaxed, non-competitive groups. Contact Jane Howard to play with the South group (which plays on Fridays between C.R. 466 and the Village of Fenney) and contact Christie St-John to play with the North group (which plays on Thursdays between C.R. 42 and Lake Sumter Landing).  Contact Christie for location and tee times. Weather might keep these events from happening, so contact coordinators.

 

Mahjong.  The group meets Mondays at 1 pm in a friendly, no-betting environment. You must know the basics of the game to participate. Contact Kim Bethea to take part.

Pickleball. Two courts are reserved weekly at 6-7:50 pm on Wednesdays at the Coconut Cove Recreation Center for our pickleball players. There is no need to RSVP.  Please contact our Pickleball Coordinator Mary Ann Wilkinson to be added to her Pickleball email list.

Samba (the card game, not the dance).  Our Samba group plays on Wednesday afternoons, meeting at 1pm in members’ homes. If you would like to play, please contact Jillian Bannon or Nancy Sacks.
